- Terms and conditions -
1. Somewhere In Time does not print on William Arthur brand Stationery.
2. Envelopes that are lined on both sides...
Somewhere In Time IS ABLE to print on most flap-lined envelopes; however, we are UNABLE
to print on envelopes which are completely lined on both sides.
3. Envelope Liners...
If your envelopes have a liner which extends down
an entire side of the envelope, we strongly suggest that you send 2-3 envelopes
ahead of your order for printing approval.
4. Envelopes that are too thick...
If we receive envelopes that are too thick for printing,
you will be notified immediately and they will be returned to you un-printed. All return
shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer.
5. Return shipping...
All return shipping is to be paid by the customer.
6. Lost or misdirected mail...
Somewhere In Time is not responsible for lost or
misdirected mail.
7. Shimmer/Pearlized
envelopes...
Somewhere In Time does not print on Shimmer/Pearlized
envelopes. Shimmery-Pearlized
paper does not absorb the ink resulting in smearing and a shadowy appearance. If
you send Shimmer-Pearlized envelopes, they will be returned un-printed at the
shipping cost of the customer.
8. Proof Review & Changes...
Any changes applied after the customer has reviewed
the Proof are applied FREE OF CHARGE; however, if changes are requested for
over half of your guest list which are not the fault of Somewhere In Time,
there will be a $10.00 PROOF RE-ENTRY FEE.
While there are always a few changes made
to the final proof, please make sure your addresses are submitted the way you
want them to appear on the final envelopes. You may abbreviate states, (OK.
for Oklahoma), and words like "apartment" which we will spell out, but if you
want "Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Jones", do NOT submit your guest list with "Robert and Doris Jones",
and later decide you want every entry changed after your proof has been re-entered.
9. Additions & Reprints:
There is a flat charge of
$10.00 for 1 or more additions or re-prints requested after the completion
of any order. After the customer reviews the proof, any changes made to the
proof or add-ons are the responsibility of the customer. (It takes the same
amount of time to set up for the printing of 1 envelope as it does for 100
envelopes.)
10. A WORD ABOUT COLORED INK vs. BLACK INK...
There are 3 reasons NOT to choose colored ink for
addressing formal invitation envelopes:
1. If you want to follow strict etiquette,
Crane’s Blue Book
of Stationery suggests always using black ink for addressing formal invitations.
2. Black gives the best appearance. If you want a
hand-written calligraphy appearance, not only does black ink look more elegant,
but with an ink jet process, colored inks may look shadowy or grainy. The outcome
definitely depends on a combination of your envelope paper, the size of your
envelopes, your font choice, and the size of the font we are able to use.
3.
Black ink is less expensive. Colored inks cost much more than black ink. If
choosing a colored ink, there is a 10% up charge to the total of your order.
(See Prices page).
****Please remember:
This is an ink-jet process;
not raised ink. If you would like your envelopes printed using colored ink,
we highly recommend that you send 2-3 of your own envelopes to Somewhere In
Time for test printing in the color of your choice. While the color chart you
see at Somewhere In Time will give you a general idea of the colors we offer,
it will not reflect the exact outcome of how a particular color will print
on your envelopes. (While gray row 16-11 may appear Charcoal on one customer’s
envelope, it may appear close to Black on another.)
Colored inks will not print
as well on smaller envelopes.
We can only print medium to darker shades-
pastels and lighter colors will not show up. Nor can we print light inks on
dark colored envelopes.
If choosing a colored ink please choose a wider font
like Daniela or Mrs. Eaves. Scripted Fonts with fine lines such as Alexandra
Script print much better using black ink.
